Contrary to Jakob Nielsen’s don’t over-use metaphor -- Chapter 4: Site Design in Designing Web Usability , I've used some metaphorical links or navigation on my site. Perihelion and Aphelion for examples are exit links. What do you expect from a personal poetry site? Metaphors, right?

Dalityapi Unpoemed v.3 completed except for the previous issues of the Makata (Jan-May 2001) . I fixed all the CSS problems and uploaded a new splash screen. Speaking of splash screens, I know well that in reality, most users tend to click off them as fast as they can. While it is so true that splash screens are just teasers or some sort of a cynosure to lure the users into the site, I'd agree that they should be used appropriately (whether for welcome messages, entry pages, or visual purposes) so as not to mislead or slow down the user as he or she is attempting to reach the home page proper. On the other hand, here's a requiem for www.dalityapi.com (or I should say, Requiescat In Pace! )

Currently re-designing the entire site. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish the 'points of entry' by the end of the month. I used the CSS layout from www.glish.com/css and modified it slightly to come out with my desired color. However, the layout looks like an elementary design in IE4 and NS4 browsers. My suggestions: Upgrade, upgrade, and upgrade! This site too will look much better in a browser that supports web standards .
