I'll be spending the Christmas vacation in Pangasinan with my family. I'll be in Pangasinan tomorrow and will attend the ULUPAN's General Assembly and X'mas Party on the 21st of December, Nursing Review Room, UPANG, 9:00am to 2:00pm in Dagupan City. This is probably my last post for this year unless there's some pertinent things to be posted. Will surely be back on January 5, 2004. My early season's greetings to you... I was invited by Atty. Faelnar, one of the SOLFED advocates, to attend a forum "Towards a Philippine Parliamentary Democracy" yesterday at the shangri-la, Makati. The event was sponsored by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAF). Panel of speakers are: Atty, Bernard uc, Dean Froilan Bacungan, Dr. Jose Abueva, Ambassador Jose V. Romero, Jr., and Mrs. Marietta Primicias Goco. Panels of reactors include Sec. Amado Luis Lagdameo, Jr. and Sec Camilo Sabio. House Speaker JDV dropped in and delivered his luncheon address briefly. I've compiled my published and unpublished poems into a 115-page folio. Hmmm... Something is wrong with the Tripod Blog, thus, I am re-posting this article here using blogger. A copy of this is also posted in the column of The Sunday Punch . A Kabaleyan’s Thoughts Ulupan na Pansiansia’y Salitan Pangasinan ULUPAN Officers and members visited the Don Juan de Nepomuceno’s Center for Kapampangan Studies last Nov. 16 at the Holy Angel University, Angeles City. The purpose of the said visit was to get some ideas on how to setup our own Pangasinan Studies Center here in Pangasinan. Kcenter as it is popularly known is supported and funded by HAU, the philanthropist Don Juan de Nepomuceno and if I am not mistaken even the local government of Pampanga. It’s too bad that our own ULUPAN do no have such support. While some of our pompous politicos aired their moral support, we need more than that. We need Pangasinenses who have a clout with the Pangasinan Officials to help us obtain a government fund for our association. We need Pangasinenses who are still concerned with Panga
