Have not submitted any of my poetry in English for a while but I sent some poems today for consideration in the Sunday Inquirer Magazine. This magazine is too elusive for my works. Duh! Have not written anything for a couple of weeks now or so. My Muse is currently on leave perhaps until my first book is off the press :)

I will be in Pangasinan to attend the Ulupan meeting (Sept. 28). On the other hand, I invited Dr. R. David Zorc to give a brief lecture on the overview of the Philippine Languages and Linguistics at the University of Pangasinan, Dagupan City about 1:00pm tomorrow. I'm kinda busy these days and will need some time to get back into writing :) After the Pangasinan Dialog and Grammar Drills, my next project would be an anthology of Pangasinan poetry or an introduction to Pangasinan literature. I just received a good news that Dr. R. David Zorc, Senior Linguist at the Language Research Center, McNeil Technologies, will be coming here in Manila on the 3rd and 4th weeks of September 2003 to deliver a seminar (overview of Phil. grammars; scope of project, methodology). His lectures at UP are still under discussion, but will mostly be oriented to linguistics and graduate students. Hopefully, he will be meeting the members of the Ulupan na Pansiansia'y Salitan Pangasinan (Association for the Preservation of the Pangasinan Language) while on a side trip to Pangasinan. On the other hand, I now have two books pending publications: 1.) Pinabli tan arum ni'ran Anlong (Beloved and other Poems) 2.) Malagilion: Soniton Pangasinan (a thin volume of 55 sonnets in Pangasinan language) I am now preparing for a major project... a book of Pangasinan Dialogs and Grammar Drills.
