More to the Point: World Poetry

It (poetry) is an inner link between poetics, ethics, and politics... The poet must be a catalyst in the renewal of active thinking and the values that are an honor to our species and constantly urge us to exceed our own self-expectations. Poetry is a bulwark against the onslaught of barbarity in its many gu

Seminar-Workshop on Children in Crises

National creative writing fellow (U.P.-Diliman, 1976) Leopoldo Mijares Delacruz, Jr., Ed.D., invites writers and other individuals interested to attend the Seminar-Workshop on “Retooling the Approaches in Managing Children in Conflict with the Law” on March 16-17, 2012, from eight o’clock in the morning to five in the afternoon at the St. Alexandra Estates Clubhouse, Avida Communities, Barangay Dalig, Antipolo City. Dr. Delacruz, Jr., the Center’s executive assistant, believes that one may understand better “our children, especially now that they are at risk of being trapped residually in the web of socio-spiritual crises”, if he is given some technical know-how in dealing with them, rather than still adopting the traditional view of parenting and dealing with juvenile delinquency. The two-day event will be conducted by St. John of the Cross Center for Psychological Intervention and Traumatic Stress Management (SJCC), with Dr. Leo deux fils M. Delacruz as its director and resour
