InBox: Just received an email containing a couple of poems in Pangasinan dialect. Will include the said poems in the next issue of Makata while still am trying to come with a section for Pangasinan poetry. On the other hand, The New WTC in 2005? hmmm ... USA TODAY asked the five most recent poets laureate to each select a piece of their work that they believe has a message for these difficult times.

In the News: Awards for best writers and publisher FOR the sixth time and third straight year, the Manila Critics Circle has cited Anvil Publishing, Inc. as Outstanding Publisher of the Year during the recently concluded National Book Awards 2000. Yup, and a new version of the said service is on the way. sons of sisyphus there are voices in the field and ghostly footfalls of farmers fallen like the yellow blades on the breast of the earth they came and poured their sweet under the seething sun they lived their lives away and searched what was to be found they are mere voices now mingling with the wind soothing those who come after them softening the hardened hearts of those who waste their adamhood on the barren ground O how would they know? they speak no poetry but the plaints of daily toil O why would they care? they only live for a moment each night they pause awhile and push their own rock again when the sun climbs its ancient hill

Hopefully, I'll be moving the entire site in a week or so except for the InFront (blogged news/updates) section. Nexus: ASAP! A Stand Against Pop-under ads!
