Between Appari and Jolo A child is following the dike with his noble beast and a load of ricestalks to bury in the mudcake A child is harvesting the bounty of the site in Payatas as dump trucks piles up more into the Himalaya of garbage A child is gathering corals and shells in the middle of the day in his eyes are the shadows and the secrets of the sea A child is cuddling his fallen comrade tears and blood littering the sacred ground another gunshot is fired, softly the red-blude sun sets in the horizon

Pathogenesis of Pangasinan Literature 1 A few years back, I thought of writing a collection of verse in Pangasinan dialect but it only materialized when I posted or published my first attempts online a couple of months ago or so. I am compelled to right in Pangasinan because I refuse to accept that it is a dying dialect. I believe it did not flourish for one reason: our ancestors have not preserved theirs souls in print. If there are any existing literary works nowadays written in the said dialect, then they are treasures to be found. Pangasinan literature unlike the Iloco literature is transmitted orally and most, if not all, Pangasinan poets and writers penned their works in Filipino (Tagalog) and/or English language. I do not recall reading a Pangasinan poem or story while still in school except the version of the Bible and the so-called Lunario . I've not even seen a print version of Malinac Lay Labi - a popular Pangasinan kundiman or serenade. I heard the song from my gran

Just found this one from my old notebooks. Kinda old yet always new. first love then t'was an emerald fields you and i used to roam at play we dreamt and chased the great old winds alas! you were loft in the end days went by the place where our milky lips met made a pledge and sacred promises now lone and desolate haunted by out laughters and memories many a turn of seasons fled many a drop of rains fell unto the tuft of the flowers unto the lap of the bowers the adieu the rendezvous the ricefields the first kiss and you a bittersweet memory!

I'm having some difficulties transferring / updating my files in Y!Geocities. If I am not mistaken, the said provider now restricts access to their homepage folders thru blogger. One more thing, the banner service or the geoguide is no longer available. Due to these changes, I moved the rest of my pages particularly the inFront (news / updates) and the Makata sections in Tripod. Anyways, thank you Y!Geocities! I've great time homesteading with you these past 3 years or so.

Kinda very unproductive these days as if my MUSE shuns me, hooked on mIRC, and busy at work. and who is he who maketh man with the WORD or so without this lyrical kiss to make a flower sing a worldly song without this jaded blade to make a rose cry and wreathe with passion without this argentine bliss to animate the atoms of existense?
