I submitted some of my poems for possible inclusion in the Poetic Voices Magazine. Also added the Ambibo.com logo and link on the Diurnal section. On the other hand, my www.dalityapi.com domain is gone. Tsk! tsk! tsk! Will get a new domain as soon as I get enough funds. You can still access my EAC subdomain though and my old but reliable Tripod account.

In the News: Singer, Poet Rod Mckuen Ends Exile, Gains New Purpose It would be all too easy to dismiss Rod McKuen as a has-been and an old fogy. After all, the poet, composer and singer just turned 70 at a time when young rappers and nubile singer-songwriters rule the roost in what passes today for performance poetry. For good measure, McKuen, who is emerging from nearly a decade of self-imposed isolation due to depression, thinks rap is "crap" and young people today don't have the work ethics of their elders. I received a call from UP Press regarding my book, Pinabli. They suggested that I should come out with a translation either in Filipino or in English. It would probably take me another year or so to have the translation, one thing more, I am already in the process of writing my second book. I don't want to let go of my Muse at the moment, so the translation will come later. Anyway, I would surely rely now on funds to self-publish the book. It's not that I am in a hurry to publish this book. I believe this is the time for the Pangasinense writers to be heard however small our voice is. I just received an email today from a friend suggesting that by making a translation of my poems in either or both Filipino and English, would make the possibility of the publication by UP Press more likely. And even those who may not speak Pangasinan can study the literature. I thought of writing those poems in Pangasinan and at the same time translating it in English. But I had second thoughts. I could do it but it would surely take me some time now to do the translations since I am already in the process of writing my second book. One thing more, I am after the promotion of the Pangasinan language. A book written in a less known language such as Pangasinan is a valuable material for translation and even scholarly research later on. Pangasinan writers before me preferred to write in Filipino and/or English and this is the reason why there are only more or less than 100 titles written in Pangasinan language today.
