On the other hand, I received the following reply from OIST! after submitting some poems for possible inclusion in their maiden issue coming out this June 2002.

hello, thanks for your interest. we will be handling your poems to our section editors and you will be hearing from us as soon as they returned your manuscripts.

Well, that's a good sign. I just hope that this local publication who aims to be an outlet for the literary contributors will not end up like MUSA.

Santiago Villafania is a bilingual Filipino poet who writes in English and in his native language of Pangasinan. Born in Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan on 31 January 1971, Villafania graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pangasinan in 1991. Villafania advocates for the resurgence of Pangasinan as a literary language.
