NEW LITERATURE/ LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE
ACCEPTS CONTRIBUTIONS FOR MAIDEN ISSUE

A new lifestyle/ literature is now open for contributions. The magazine is called OIST! It aims to become an alternative reading material that will cover a wide variety of topics. The magazine will release its maiden issue this coming June.

Writers may submit poems, short stories, essays, etc., for its Literature section to be edited by Dr. Cirilo F. Bautista – Palanca Hall of Famer, Centennial Literary awardee, and one of the country’s foremost poets and critics.

Contribution may be coursed through e-mail or post/courier. All email submissions may be sent to oistmag@yahoo.com as an attached word processing file preferably in .rtf or .txt format. Submissions through post or courier may be sent to OIST! Magazine c/o PME – Promo & Merchandising Experts Corporation, 4988-B P. Guanzon St. Brgy. Poblacion, Makati City.

Santiago Villafania is a bilingual Filipino poet who writes in English and in his native language of Pangasinan. Born in Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan on 31 January 1971, Villafania graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pangasinan in 1991. Villafania advocates for the resurgence of Pangasinan as a literary language. His works in the vernacular are some of the most representative, if not among the few that comprise that Pangasinan contemporary literary body. In his first book Balikas na Caboloan (Verses from Caboloan), the Pangasinan anlong resurfaces asserting its tradition amidst intersecting and pollinating genres and literary influences.
