sometimes am mute
like a broken flute
or a mere cacophony of rhythms
i am the amaranthine lyrics
of a poet's sweet
or sad a music
i am
the profoundest song of existence
ancient as the inaudible sounds
of the harmonious spheres
incarnated into the inmost
-self of man
when the man returns
into the embraces of the earth
i shall find a way for my perpetual existence
perhaps into the wraith
of those who have gone away
into the unknown spheres of death
or into the windless realms
of the ocean seas
