In the News: Short Story Writer, National Artist Francisco FRANZ Arcellana Dead at 85
Francisco Arcellana wrote those lines as part of a sort of foreword – an Apology from one Idler to the Reader he called it – for a collection of 15 of his short stories, published in 1973 as Storymasters 5.

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Cultural Center of the Philippines is holding a necrological service for National Artist for Literature Franz Arcellana on Aug. 6, 10 a.m., at the CCP Main Theater (Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo).

And just for the fun of it, I've taken the so-called Ultimate IQ Test at http://www.emode.com/. I've answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical and my IQ score is 115. My intelligence type were that of an Insightful Linguist... You are gifted with the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind. hehehehehe
