I just received a news (from 2 people) about the launching of the OIST! Magazine last July 2002. I was also told that one of my poems appeared in the said magazine. What?! no complimentary copy for me?:( Php150 is kinda stiff but I'd surely buy a copy for myself.

RCBC launches storytelling contest
Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation invites all elementary students to join the 9th RCBC Kuwentong Kalikasan Katha ng Kabataan, a short story writing contest on proper care of the environment

The contest has two segments: Segment A for grades 1 to 4 and Segment B for grades 5 to 7. The story can either be written in Filipino or in English. Entry forms are available in all RCBC unibank and savings business centers, DepEd offices, and school principal’s offices. Students may submit their stories to the nearest RCBC unibank or savings bank. Deadline for submission of entries to school principals is November 23, 2002.

Grand prize winners of the Kuwentong Kalikasan Katha ng Kabataan contest will each receive Php30,000 in cash, a trophy and a scholarship package worth Php25,000 from Pacific Plans, Inc. and Grepalife. The winning stories will also be printed in the RCBC Nature Stories Book X. Winning schools will receive Php20,000 cash prize while English/Filipino Teachers will each receive Php5,000.
