A couple of days ago I submitted some of my poems for the forthcoming issue of the 3rd Muse Poetry Journal. I'm hoping that at least one of my poems will be published in the said journal.



Anyway, my friend Jason invited me last night to watch the play entitled El Publico performed by the Dulaang Up at the RCBC Plaza in Makati. Well, we managed to take a couple of reserved seats intended for some foreign guests or so. heehehe!



Here's another haiku attempt in Pangasinan language:



bougainvillea

ed gilig na karsada

liglioay mata



English translation:



bougainvillea

on the side of the highway

pleasure to the eyes

Santiago Villafania is a bilingual Filipino poet who writes in English and in his native language of Pangasinan. Born in Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan on 31 January 1971, Villafania graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pangasinan in 1991. Villafania advocates for the resurgence of Pangasinan as a literary language.
