Award-NBDB book writing seminar set
THE Association of Writers and Authors for Regional Development Inc., Region I (AWARD) in coordination with the National Book Development Board (NBDB) has scheduled a two-day Book Writing seminar workshop Conference on November 22-23 at the Pangasinan State University in Lingayen. To coincide with the 1st Anniversary celebration of the Association which was organized through the auspices of the NBDB November last year, the seminar workshop is expected to be attended by more than 100 members from Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan and other aspiring book writers of Ilocos region.

I will be in Pangasinan on the 22nd and 23rd Nov. to attend this book writing seminar at PSU, Lingayen upon the invitation of Jaime Lucas, president of the Ulupan na Pansiansiay Salitan Pangasinan.

Santiago Villafania is a bilingual Filipino poet who writes in English and in his native language of Pangasinan. Born in Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan on 31 January 1971, Villafania graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pangasinan in 1991. Villafania advocates for the resurgence of Pangasinan as a literary language. His works in the vernacular are some of the most representative, if not among the few that comprise that Pangasinan contemporary literary body.
