Star Cinema Productions, Inc. launches its 3rd Cinema Script Writing Contest (3rd SWC). This time, Star Cinema has opted to specify the themes of the scripts to be accepted: family, romance, and youth. The scripts may be written in the following genre: drama, comedy, or a combination of both. Deadline for submission of entries is on March 31. Fifteen (15) finalists would be selected from the entries, from which three would be declared winners. Announcement and awarding of the finalists and winners would be held in October 2003. Cash prizes await the winners. First place receives P150,000, second place receives P110,000, while the third place receives P85,000. All cash prizes are subject to tax. The finalists would all be given a special plaque of recognition.
