I visited the National Library again and this time I was able to find some rare Pangasinan writings in the Rare Collections.
There's the Impambilay na Arin Esteban tan Reyna Hipolita, Arte de la lengua Pangasinan o Caboloan by Fr. Mariano Pellicer and Bellas Artes (58pp) which I believe most of the Pangasinenses do not even know these works existed.
There's also the classic Bilay tan Kalkalar nen Rizal by Pablo Mejia but I was not allowed to print a copy of the said book as it is their policy not to reproduce a rare collection.
Well, policy or not, the National Library is depriving the us, Pangasineses, our literary heritage.

When Consul Vicente Vivencio Bandillo returns to Cebu, it will also mark his second homecoming to the local literary scene.
On Oct. 25, the Cebuano writers’ association Bathalan-ong Halad sa Dagang (Bathalad) will launch Bandillo’s maiden collection of Cebuano poems titled Sanglitanan sa Kalipay ug Kasakit at the Cebu City Museum along Osmeña blvd. at 2 p.m.
Comprising traditional and experimental versification, the Cebuano collection comes in the heels of Bandillo’s first book of English poems (Earth Alive, Moon Eternal published by Italy-based Libroitaliano World for its Contemporary International Poets program) launched in Cebu last year.
Bandillo, a former president of Bathalad, has won poetry awards and grants and his works have been anthologized not only in the country but also in Kuala Lumpur, Paris, and London.
A charter member of the Cebu chapter of P.E.N. (Poets, Essayist, and Novelists) International, he used tao be a college instructor, translator, and freelance writer before passing the foreign service officers examinations and joining the Department of Foreign Affairs.
