New LIRA members announced, 2004 poetry workshop slated

THE LINANGAN sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo (LIRA), a group of poets writing in Filipino, announces its newest batch of members, all graduates of its annual workshop in poetry: Michael P. de Guzman, April Jade B. Imson, Daisyree C. Miranda, Anna Trisha Monica D. Osorio, Ricardo A. Palaypay, Beverly W. Siy, Jennelyn M. Tabora and Joseph Rosmon M. Tuazon.

LIRA holds annual workshops in poetry, which has produced ome of the country's leading poets in Filipino such as Vim Nadera, Romulo Baquiran, Mike Coroza, and Roberto and Rebecca Anonuevo.

LIRA invites young writers to join this year's workshop that will run from May up to December 2004. Workshop director is National Artist Virgilio S. Almario.

Applicants must submit at least five poems in Filipino (typed double spaced on regular size bond paper), a brief bionote (including contact number, address, and email) and 1x1 ID picture to:
