Om Mani Padme Hum

Tibetan Buddhists believe that saying the mantra (prayer), Om Mani Padme Hum, out loud or silently to oneself, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), the embodiment of compassion. Viewing the written form of the mantra is said to have the same effect -- it is often carved into stones and/or written on prayer wheel.

Sanskrit form: Om Mani Padma Hum (mantra of Avalokiteshvara)
Tibetan form: Om Mani Peme Hung (mantra of Chenrezig)

The meaning of this mantra in Tibetan Buddhism.

Ok, I don't have a prayer wheel so I made this page instead. Looks like visual poetry though :)

So, do you want to have a good karma?

On the other hand, check out the new poems at the Golden Lantern and the October issue of Poetry International Web featuring the new works from Columbia, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Portugal and Zimbabwe.
