29th MANILA INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR

I'll be part of the "Pistang Panitik 2008" slated for Tuesday, September 16, 10:30am-12:30pm, Stage Area 1 at the 29th Manila International Book Fair.

The 29th MIBF will be held from September 12 to 16, 2008, 10:00 A.M.to 8:00 P.M. at Halls 1-4, SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

The MIBF 2008's theme is Words without Borders. It celebrates the power of literature to cross boundaries of time, place and culture, through books, through language, readers can live in a world without borders.

This year, the Book Fair becomes more international opening up to other cultures while continuing to champion the best of what Philippine publishing has to offer.

Santiago Villafania is a bilingual Filipino poet who writes in English and in his native language of Pangasinan. Born in Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan on 31 January 1971, Villafania graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pangasinan in 1991. Villafania advocates for the resurgence of Pangasinan as a literary language. His works in the vernacular are some of the most representative, if not among the few that comprise that Pangasinan contemporary literary body.
