Writers and Artists Circle Revival Planned

Eight students from Emilio Aguinaldo College-Dasmariñas, Cavite, took time out from their Christmas party engagements to attend the re-organizational meeting of the EAC Writers and Artists Circle. The said meeting was held last December 18, 2008, 3/F, Education Room, UPSI Building.

The meeting was centered on the plan to revive the EAC Writers and Artists Circle on the third week of January, 2009. EWAC was first established last March 11, 2006, under the auspices of the School of Arts and Sciences and the Office of Student Affairs, headed by Dean Evelyn V. Pangilinan and Mr. James E. Encabo, respectively.

The meeting was attended by Bryan Christian Cordero, Gerald P. Robles, Jean Rose Acosta, Marijoyce Gabionza, Christian Paul Martinez, Maye Albiola, Patrick Jame F. Namgui and April C. Camba. Most of them are current members of the editorial staff of Tambuli, official student organ of the college, which is under the advisorship of Mr. Elpidio B. dela Cruz, Jr.

Co-presided by Mr. Santiago B. Villafania and Dr. Leopoldo Mijares Delacruz, Jr., author of Leben Antrieb (1988), the meeting hopes to rekindle the interests of potentials writers and artists among the Emilians in producing their own creative and artistic works.
