Down memory lane with F. Sionil Jose

HE always wanted to become a medical doctor but he went on instead to become one of the greatest Filipino writers. The legendary author F. Sionil Jose, named National Artist for Literature in 2001, continues to be hale and hearty at 78 years old. At the rate he’s going, there appears to be no waning of his memory, the keen attention to details and insightful perceptions which have made his works a brilliant mirror of Philippine society.
