Enjoyed my few hours stay in Pangasinan. Meeting with the AWARD was a ok :) They're coming out with a "Search for a Hero" biography writing contest and an anthology of Pangasinan poetry in English. Will be back there on the 26th January to discuss more details on their forhcoming projects and programs. Whew!



I've revised the manuscript of the Pinabli. Me and my father saw some minor errors that needs to be corrected such as: Tagalized Pangasinan words and spellings. I still trust my "instinctive phonetics" though.

Santiago Villafania is a bilingual Filipino poet who writes in English and in his native language of Pangasinan. Born in Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan on 31 January 1971, Villafania graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pangasinan in 1991. Villafania advocates for the resurgence of Pangasinan as a literary language. His works in the vernacular are some of the most representative, if not among the few that comprise that Pangasinan contemporary literary body.
