After a few days of unpoemed silence, I finally came out with a new sonnet for the Malagilion.

bineltang ko'y nalgep a karsada
ed kaksila'y beyebey tan dagem
amasnuk langon la 'ra'y dinidyus
ed labas la'y petang na santiagew

teoek a binegtew so dagupan
tan anggapo'y langala na matan
onlinggis ed saray mabinbinta
tan masalindak iran bibii

onya la manaya iyan baley
anggan angga ed aoak la'y delap
oala nin siansia ira'y laoanan
ono pampam a makpel onkioas

ag la komun onsabi so agew
ya iuran to lamet na sulpur

Gordon Teskey, appointed professor of English and American literature and language in 2002, is putting the finishing touches on a book-length manuscript to be published by Harvard University Press under the title, "Delirious Milton: The Poet in the Modern World."

Santiago Villafania is a bilingual Filipino poet who writes in English and in his native language of Pangasinan. Born in Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan on 31 January 1971, Villafania graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pangasinan in 1991. Villafania advocates for the resurgence of Pangasinan as a literary language.
