aliling to'y imbasig ed bato
dalanen ma'y tiagew ono uran
mansiansian akamarka'y insipan

say katupang na pusok nilaoan
dinengel to'y taoag na malamang
ninengneng to'y mankidiam a pilak
sengega'y inlereg to ed pitek

anenen ko'y bilay ed pangaoan
no say puso et singa anuyiao
bolos bang balet ag makatikiab
ed panaarian ton kakieoan?

oala'y samban ag ko nabenegan
say anaker ed siak ed pangaoan

In the News: Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed decrees on the 2002 state prizes for literature and arts

According to the Kremlin press-service, the prizes in literature were awarded to Novella Matveyeva-Bodraya for "The Jasmine" poetry collection and Vatslav Mikhalsky for "The Spring in Carthage" novel.

Santiago Villafania is a bilingual Filipino poet who writes in English and in his native language of Pangasinan. Born in Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan on 31 January 1971, Villafania graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pangasinan in 1991. Villafania advocates for the resurgence of Pangasinan as a literary language.
