I'm off again to Pangasinan this evening to attend the monthly meeting of the Ulupan na Pansiansia'y Salitan Pangasinan on Sunday, Nov. 30 in Lingayen. The Ulupan aims to raise awareness of Pangasinan arts, culture and literature. I was invited to join the New Pleiades , an international group of poetry editors and esteemed poets with the purpose of inciting the Millenium Renaissance. Administrators are CS Snow, formerly moderator of the Loonatic Fringe Poetry Group, Tyler Joseph Wiseman and Richard Vallance, Editor of Poetry in Emotion. Other Members have included Sara Russell, Editor of Poetry Life and Times; Sondra Ball, Owner and publisher of Kedco Studios, Robin Ouzman Hislop, and Robert Temple. Jason and I dropped by the UST Center for Creative Writing and Studies last Tuesday and joined later by Dr. Cirilo Bautista. He invited us to visit the UP Book Caravan at PNU this Saturday around 9-12nn. He will will be there for the book signing. Jason invited Alex Agena to come over but arrived rather a little late with the editor of Quill. We ended in a place they call kittens We were joined later by Angelo Suarez. in Kafka's eyes that night we were nameless faces groping in some alleyways searching for a place called kittens only to find it when the other two came who knew it too well even without its name painted on a wall we drink the night away with booze and smokes planning who to assassinate next the poets in our midst or the old hags who share our little glories and spaces in magazines and as the night falls deep another one came now we have x and ? of the quill the unpoemed the argonaut and the one with a long raven hair who preffered to have pop cola instead of colt 45 ...

I just received a print copy of the Inaugural Issue, October 2003 of Crimson Feet, a print magazine focused on publishing texts in the cultural domain. This includes Poetry, Fiction, Essays, Art, Comic Strips and book-excerpts. Crimson Feet’s focus is on publishing and promoting work important from an evolutionary point of view. The magazine wants to publish work outside the strict confines of ’literary’ or ’artistic’ creation. Hopefully, it will be available this December 2003 in time with the foundation day of the Ulupan na Pansiansia'y Salitan Pangasinan (Association for the Preservation of the Pangasinan language). I made some minor changes on the manuscript, thus, the delay in printing. All apologies to all my sponsors who are already waiting for the book to come out. As I prayed for, my book will surely be published this year. A few more weeks or so, I will finally see it ritualized in print :) On the other hand, I am now on the 67th page of the Malagilion: Soniton Pangasinan . And whether it will make it to the NCCA's Writers Prize or not, it will also be published next year.

Call for Submission to People Power 2 Anthology We are currently accepting contributions to the book People Power 2: Through the Eyes of the Young. It is quite ironic that while the youth is said to have provided the biggest number of warm bodies to People Power 2, the youth sector has quite lagged behind in putting out an account of this historic event. While a few publications, most notably Philippine Daily Inquirer's Youngblood and the youth-oriented website Tinig.com, have been publishing People Power 2 stories from the young, there has yet to be a definitive account of this historic phenomenon. This book, People Power 2: Through the Eyes of the Young, is then the Filipino youths answer to this irony. It aims to provide the definitive account of People Power 2 from the viewpoint of the Filipino youth who comprised the biggest section of the raging mass that ousted the Estrada regime. I met a freemason the other day. Accordingly, freemasonry started during the time of King Solomon right after the building of the First Great Temple. I've a feeling though that it goes back to Lemuria and Atlantis during the time of the Phree (Builders) and Katholi (Spiritual Hierarchy) and then to the Orisian nation, to Europe, to the New World and to the rest of the world. But then I could be wrong. Perhaps the aristos of my mind is just playing with my imagination. Somehow I wanted to remember.
