It's a holiday! It's Bonifacio Day and I managed to sneak into my own office just to be online for a few hours. hehehehe Well, I'm posting another new poem in Pangasinan language. I finally met the poet Dr. Cirilo F. Bautista in person at the launching of Tomas 6 in the University of Santo Tomas yesterday afternoon. We had a brief chat about regional and on-line poetry, and about the Nobel. Yeah, thanks to my friend Jose Jason Chancoco for dragging be along UST. It was indeed a poetic experience for my part. And prior to this event, I submitted my poetry entry for the NCCA's Ubod. The results will be released in January 2003. Wishing my self some luck!

Here’s another poem in Pangasinan language. Yes, I am rushing things up to complete my collection. I am coming out with another one already. I’ve not translated it into English though. By the way, I just finished my entry for the Ubod but I've change the title to Balikas na Caboloan . Quite anxious to reach the 2nd floor of the HRM Training Center and thought of introducing myself to Dr. Andaya, the Director of External, Cultural and Performing Arts (PSU) and the editor of the Balon Silew . She and I exchanged email and text messages a couple of times. She did not, however, recall my name until Dir. Jaime P. Lucas introduced me to the rest of the workshop participants. I was asked to say something about the current state of Pangasinan literature and to recite one of my Pangasinan poems. That I did. The second day was just a series of literary lectures delivered by prominent Iluko writers. Pangasinan literature was not tackled though. The Association of Writers and ...

First thing tomorrow I'll be at the PSU for the book writing seminar. I've no idea what to expect. I don't know anyone and I've never been in that institution. Nope, not even during my college days. To coincide with the 1st Anniversary celebration of the Association which was organized through the auspices of the NBDB November last year, the seminar workshop is expected to be attended by more than 100 members from Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan and other aspiring book writers of Ilocos region. I will be in Pangasinan on the 22nd and 23rd Nov. to attend this book writing seminar at PSU, Lingayen upon the invitation of Jaime Lucas, president of the Ulupan na Pansiansiay Salitan...
